Highly motivated and driven, Miriana founded 1Centre as a result of supporting other businesses with setting up systems and processes in her spare time. From the horse’s mouth “I just couldn’t quite figure out why opening accounts was so laboriously manual, repetitive and time consuming” – so she set out on a journey spanning over two years to interview as many suppliers and business consumers as she could, about what their experiences were like with opening trade accounts – as a result, 1Centre came to life. With over 20years banking experience, a passion for making life easier for business (herself included), and a BBS in management and sales, she has all the right ingredients to roll her sleeves up and drive 1Centre forward.
As Commercial Manager, Michael is all about customers, new and existing, to make sure they have all the information they need to improve their own business and customer experience. A people-person himself, and with a strong interest in business-to-business solutions to improve profitability, Michael excelled in the business world at a young age and was part of the leadership team for a large NZ construction product company by his early 20s. He is university-qualified in business administration (marketing), and has experience in sales and marketing roles across multiple B2B industries, a Fortune 150 diversified manufacturing company and technology start-ups. He is excited by 1Centre’s future, specifically when it comes to bringing true innovation and sustainable technology to business, and by the prospect of expanding 1Centre into other countries.
Christiana graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a BBS majoring in advertisement and design. She began her career supporting start-ups – this gave her the ability to learn and grow quickly in companies that provide challenge and hands-on experience. For the last 6months Christiana has worked in influencer and digital marketing and has developed a passion for content creation and authentic conversations in the digital space. She has found her niche in B2B marketing, and is constantly exploring innovative tools to enhance the 1Centre marketing strategies.
Heath brings 30 years of enterprise systems best practices to the 1Centre team. His background is predominantly in large financial institutions where he leads technical design, development and implementation of critical systems. Heath oversees the development of 1Centre systems, to ensure they are 'always on' and customer data is secure and accurate. He is passionate about creating applications that people can trust to deliver real world benefits. Heath is your first port of call for all your technical enquires.
Ricky is a highly motivated technology professional, with a love of problem solving and finding new and innovative ways of doing things. He has a varied background spanning across banking, sales and telecommunications, and more recently developing online applications and tools for the financial services industry. He is looking forward to unlocking the full potential that 1Centre offers and excited to be part of its success story.
Hanne wants for every one of the 1Centre customers and staff to feel they’re exceptionally well looked after, and as 1Centre Operations Manager she is tasked to do just that. Before arriving in New Zealand 2013 to explore the kiwi way of life she worked in London for global financial services companies such as GL Trade (Sungard) and Thomson Reuters. Though Hanne’s skill set is vast her expertise revolves around the world of customer support, training and leadership coaching gained in an investment banking environment. Her studies and work have taken her all over Europe and lastly Philippines.

Kevin has extensive experience in institutional funds management, direct private equity investment and corporate finance advisory. He was head of a private equity and alternative investment fund based in Australia, with responsibility for Australia & New Zealand. This followed senior executive roles in various multi-strategy and direct investing funds operating across a range of industries. He has practiced as a commercial & tax lawyer in private practice and as a chartered accountant with a global CA firm. Qualifications include: B.Com., LL.B., LL.M (Hons)., SMM (Stanford)., CA., MAICD (Aust)., M.Inst.D (NZ). By day, Kevin is Head of Agri Capital for ASB. He is also an independent director of private equity fund, Invest South.
Kevin grew up on a mixed sheep, beef & cropping farm in Southland, so enjoys pulling on his red-bands and swandri any day of the week.
One of the Australasian design industry’s most influential and awarded creative and strategic thinkers, Sven is currently Executive Chairman of Designworks Group, a multidisciplinary strategic design, branding and customer experience practice with over 180 staff and seven offices across Australasia, South East Asia and the USA. Sven also holds the position of New Zealand Country Manager – WPPAUNZ – WPP is the world’s largest communications services group, employing 190,000 people (includes Associates) working in 3,000 offices in 112 countries.
Over the past 30 years Sven has established himself as a leading and trusted strategic and creative director on both sides of the Tasman and has been heavily involved in the design transformation of many of Australasia’s most high profile organisations and brands. A persuasive thinker and passionate believer in the power of well deployed ‘design thinking’ to turn around business fortunes, he advocates using design and data driven insight to drive transformative customer experiences.
As well as working with some of the region’s largest companies, Sven has a passionate interest in supporting business start-ups in the creative and technology sectors including as an investor in a range of new-breed technology companies such as Parrot Analytics, Area360 (formerly STQRY), 8i, Quantiful and 1Centre.
Ben is a business leader, a technology evangelist, an entrepreneur, and a commentator. Ben covers the convergence of business and technology. His areas of interest extend to leadership development, startup activity, digital transformation, and enterprise software, as well as articulating technology simply for everyday users. He is a globally recognized subject matter expert with an extensive following across multiple channels.

Mark is the Chairperson of the investment fund of Ngaa Rauru, a Taranaki iwi. Mark is also Director, Corporate and Institutional Banking, National Australia Bank (NAB) based in Sydney. Mark joined NAB in 2008 and provides financial markets risk advisory services to strategic clients of NAB in a range of industries. Prior to joining NAB, Mark worked in NZ where he was a Principal, Corporate Finance with BDO; and Head of Transactional Services with Grant Thornton. Mark was also an executive with the Goldman Sachs JBWere (NZ) private equity team from 2002 to 2006 and was involved in all aspects of managing the Hauraki No 1 and No 2 funds. Mark’s qualifications include an MSC (physics) and an MBA (finance).
